EDAPS Consortium took part in a OSCE conference on issues related to travel documents
03.06.2005
In June of 2005 the design project for creation of a new type of travel passport for a citizen of Ukraine developed by EDAPS Consortium was highly praised by the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).
By invitation from the program coordinator of the OSCE Department for the Suppression of Terrorism, representatives of EDAPS Consortium took part in a conference on issues related to travel documents held on June 3, 2005 in Vienna.
Presentations on the topics of a “new type of passport for a citizen of Ukraine” and an “information system for creation of a national register and centralized issuance of passport documents” provoked great interest at the meeting of a working group.
Says a representative of OSCE about the conference: “Information about such considerable progress of Ukraine in development of the most advanced secure travel document with a polycarbonate page may be spread among other OSCE members with the purpose of their acquaintance with this project and transfer to them Ukrainian experience. This experience will give a great fillip for OSCE members to implement similar projects in their countries.”
